A credit is the unit Mana uses to measure AI usage. Every message you send to Mana — whether it's building a new app, tweaking a button, or asking a question — consumes credits based on its complexity. Simple edits cost less than full app generation.

How do I upgrade my plan?

Open the Mana app → Settings → Mana Pro → pick a higher tier → tap Upgrade. The change takes effect **immediately**. Apple refunds the unused time of your old plan pro-rated to days remaining, and charges the new plan in full. Your new balance is the new tier's quota minus what you've already used this period, plus any carryover and pack credits you had.

How do I downgrade my plan?

Same flow as upgrading — pick a lower tier and tap Downgrade. The switch happens at the end of your current billing period, so you keep the higher tier until then. Any unused credits from the higher tier roll over to your new plan.

Do unused subscription credits roll over?

Accepted Answer

Yes — **as long as you're still subscribed at the moment of the monthly reset.** Unused credits from the ending month plus any existing carryover combine into your new carryover bucket, with no cap. If you cancel and your paid period ends, both unused current-month credits and existing carryover are cleared.

What if I run out of credits?

Two ways to top up:

**1. Upgrade your subscription** (the better deal for most people). Open Mana → Settings → Mana Pro → pick a higher tier → tap Upgrade. The change takes effect immediately; Apple prorates the refund of your current plan against the new one.

**2. Buy a credit pack** — only available to active **10,000 credits/mo subscribers** whose balance has dropped below 1,000 credits. Packs are one-time top-ups (5,000 credits for $95, 10,000 credits for $180). **Pack credits never expire and survive cancellation** — they stay in your account permanently, regardless of whether you keep your subscription.

When you spend, pack credits go first, then carryover, then this month's plan quota — so the credits you paid extra for get used right away. If you're regularly running low on a smaller plan, upgrading the subscription is always cheaper than buying packs.
